Mothercare UK are looking for a Content Copywriter to join the Brand and Marketing team.
The purpose of the role is to provide "best-in-class" copywriting for all Mothercare channels to highlight our position as a specialist retailer, drive engagement and convert customers.
Providing written copy in line with Global brand and legal requirements across all channels
Writing product description copy that focuses on delivering incremental SEO opportunities
Edit and update online content in line with business requirements, supporting SEO, brand campaigns and content objectives
Support the Online Product Setup & Copy team with ad hoc projects when required
Support the SEO Executive to create and help improve content and copy to maximise SEO performance
Own all written content produced; ensuring all copy is accurate, free of typographical and grammatical mistakes and measuring its success where applicable
Work with different Content Management Systems to upload and publish content
Support the PR team in delivering copy
Ensuring that the tone of voice always reflects the Mothercare brand proposition as the specialist in our market segment, in line with Global Brand direction
Interpret creative direction and adapt points from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
Edit and proofread copy as needed
Conduct high-quality research for content and images when required
Experience in writing engaging content in a professional, personal or academic setting
Excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation with meticulous attention to detail
Basic knowledge of implementing content-related SEO best practice
Ability to follow and maintain a brand tone of voice across multiple platforms
